Messages explained

In short

Every message SendPath shows when something is blocked, waiting or unhealthy, with what it means and what to do. “…” stands for the part that changes.

When you launch a campaign

“This list has … addresses and … of your … verifications this month are left.”
What it means: The list is bigger than this month's checks and your verification credits.
What to do: Buy verification credits
“The list has not finished importing.”
What it means: The import is still running.
What to do: Wait a minute, then launch again.
“No addresses to send to - every one is invalid.”
What it means: A check found every address invalid.
What to do: Use a better list.
“Every address in this list is suppressed or invalid.”
What it means: Everyone on it unsubscribed or bounced before, or failed the check.
What to do: Use a different list.
“Pick at least one sender.”
What it means: The campaign has no mailboxes.
What to do: Pick them on the campaign's Settings tab.
“Every sender is blocked (…). Fix them on the Senders page.”
What it means: None of its mailboxes can send.
What to do: Fix mailbox health
“The body must include {{unsubscribe_url}}.”
What it means: An email has no unsubscribe link.
What to do: Add the footer from the editor's toolbar.
“The body must include {{physical_address}}.”
What it means: An email has no postal address.
What to do: Add the footer from the editor's toolbar.
“The workspace has no postal address yet.”
What it means: Settings has no business address.
What to do: Add it in Settings.
“Some braces don't form a {{variable}}.”
What it means: A variable is missing a { or }.
What to do: Find it in the email and fix it.
“The list has no column for {{…}}.”
What it means: An email uses a variable the list doesn't have.
What to do: Remove the variable, or import a list with that column.
“Step 1: the subject is empty.”
What it means: The first email needs a subject.
What to do: Write one in the Editor.
“All … sends this month on … are used.”
What it means: The plan's emails for the month are used.
What to do: Upgrade in Settings, or wait for the 1st.
“Send a test email first - it's required before a campaign starts.”
What it means: No test was sent yet.
What to do: Send test in the Launch panel.
“The emails changed after the last test. Send a new test email.”
What it means: You edited the emails since the test.
What to do: Send a new test.

While a campaign runs

These are normal: the campaign is running and waiting for its next chance to send.

“Scheduled: the next sending window opens …”
What it means: It's outside the schedule's hours or days.
What to do: Nothing. Change the schedule if you want other hours.
“Waiting: every sender is at its daily cap, outside its sending window or spacing its emails.”
What it means: Its mailboxes have sent what they can for now.
What to do: Nothing. To send more, add mailboxes.
“Daily limit of … reached.”
What it means: The campaign's own daily limit is reached.
What to do: Nothing, or raise the limit in Settings.
“Max new leads for today (…) reached.”
What it means: No new contacts start until tomorrow. Follow-ups carry on.
What to do: Nothing, or raise it in Settings.
“Follow-ups scheduled. The next goes out around …”
What it means: Everyone has had their first email; follow-ups wait for their day.
What to do: Nothing.

These need you:

“Waiting: warm-up shows most mail from these senders landing in spam…”
What it means: Warm-up placement is under 60%, so campaign emails are held.
What to do: Improve placement
“No usable sender on this campaign.”
What it means: Every mailbox is blocked or disconnected.
What to do: Fix or add a mailbox. It's retried hourly.
“Paused: every sender on this campaign is blocked.”
What it means: Its mailboxes all stopped, often for bounces.
What to do: Fix them on Senders, then Resume.
“Paused: all … sends … are used.”
What it means: The plan's emails are used.
What to do: Upgrade or choose a plan, then Resume.
“Paused: the free trial has ended.”
What it means: The trial is over.
What to do: Choose a plan in Settings.
“Paused: payment failed and the grace period is over.”
What it means: A payment failed more than 7 days ago.
What to do: Update billing in Settings.
“Stopped: the schedule's stop date (…) has passed.”
What it means: The campaign reached its stop date.
What to do: Move the date in Settings, then restart.

Mailbox health

“Credentials were rejected.”
What it means: The password changed or access was removed. Blocks sending.
What to do: Replace password, or reconnect.
“SPF fails.”
What it means: Your domain doesn't list your provider as allowed to send. Blocks sending.
What to do: Fix SPF
“No DMARC record.”
What it means: Inboxes trust your mail less.
What to do: Add DMARC
“DKIM key missing.”
What it means: Your mail isn't signed.
What to do: Turn on DKIM
“DKIM not verified - no selector known yet.”
What it means: SendPath can't confirm DKIM until the mailbox has sent.
What to do: Nothing yet. It clears once mail goes out.
“No MX record - replies will bounce.”
What it means: Your domain can't receive mail.
What to do: Add MX records
“Bounce rate …% (…) is over 5%.”
What it means: Too many bounces. Blocks sending.
What to do: Re-verify, then resume
“Bounce rate …% (…) is over 2%.”
What it means: A warning: bounces are climbing.
What to do: Re-verify the lists it's sending to.
“DNS hasn't been checked yet.”
What it means: A new mailbox.
What to do: Re-check on the mailbox.
