Before your first campaign
- Send cold email from a second domain, not the one your team uses every day. Why
- Plan on about 30 campaign emails a day per mailbox, and 2–3 mailboxes per domain. How many you need
- SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX all pass on Senders. Set up DNS
- Every mailbox has a name, and no Reply-to. Where replies go
- Warm-up is running, and new mailboxes have had about two weeks. Warm-up
- Your postal address is in Settings. The rules
- The list is recent and verified, with few invalid addresses. Verify
Your emails
- Short: 50 to 120 words. Plain text, no images, no attachments, one link at most.
- A short, plain subject that matches the email. No ALL CAPS, no false urgency.
- Personal: variables like
{{first_name}}and a first line written for the reader, with spintax for variety. - Inbox readiness is mostly green. Inbox readiness
- Open and link tracking stay off unless you really need them.
- You sent yourself a test and read it on your phone.
While you send
- Bounce rate stays under 2% on Home. The numbers
- Warm-up placement stays at 90% or more, and warm-up keeps running.
- Raise volume slowly: add mailboxes, not more emails per mailbox.
- Answer replies quickly. Replies are the strongest good signal there is.
- Old lists get rechecked before you use them again.
