Free DNS checker
In short
Type your sending domain to see whether its SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records are in place. It only reads public DNS: nothing is changed or stored.
What each record does
- SPF
- Lists the services allowed to send email for your domain. Set it up
- DKIM
- A signature on each email that proves it came from your domain and wasn't changed. It sits under a name your email provider picks (a selector); the checker tries the usual ones. Set it up
- DMARC
- Tells receivers what to do with mail that fails SPF and DKIM, and where to send reports. Set it up
- MX
- Where your domain receives mail, replies to your campaigns included. Set it up
Sending cold email from a new domain? Choosing a sending domain covers picking one and setting it up.
If something's wrong
- DKIM says Couldn't check.
- Your provider may use a selector the checker doesn't try. If your provider's DKIM settings say the record is published, it's fine.
- A record you just added still shows as missing.
- DNS changes can take a few hours to reach everyone, and a result here is kept for 10 minutes. Check again later.
